It's located on the UCLA campus in the heart of Westwood California, and sees over 45,000 patients per year.As a Unit Director you'll be applying your expertise towards managerial, clinical, and leaderships duties Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. The Unit Director is a natural leader who intervenes in emergency situations and calmly liaison within the hospital system. You'll act as a content expert, utilizing your expertise to design and provide formal and informal training. Job QualificationsMust have at least 2 recent years of experience at an Academic and Magnet facilityGraduate from an NLN accredited school of nursingCompetency in Emergency NursingPatient care knowledge of nursing processAbility to schedule staff within expected and provided guidelinesSkilled in verbal and written communicationSkilled in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely accurate mannerKnowledge of labor relations principlesKnowledge of current management principlesAbility to develop, implement, and evaluate alterations in processes.Ability to provide teaching to staff, patients, significant others, other health care team members and the communityKnowledge of budget preparationKnowledge of nursing research theories and techniquesAbility to perform effectively with fluctuating workloadCERTIFICATIONS: Required: ACLS, MICN, PALS/ENPC, TNCC/ATCN BSN.Preferred: MSN, CEN.
