Job Description: Job Duties Provide analysis and development of reporting and analytics solutions, in support of the Ambulatory Business Intelligence team, for a university medical system; organize complex clinical, financial, and administrative data from multiple sources, using standard programming methodologies, databases, and business intelligence tools; synthesize results into meaningful information on a regular basis; prepare detailed documentation of programming code in a format that a non-programmer can understand, following standard documentation templates and industry standards; conduct research and development in the use of the Epic Clarity Database and Cogito Data Warehouse as data sources for reporting; develop the enterprise data warehouse and data marts using both Epic and non-Epic sources; integrate data, calculate measures, and visualize information, using business intelligence and database software; implement data visualization through R and other statistical packages to produce heat maps, run charts, and Shewhart statistical control charts. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or a related field. Two years of experience in job offered, or as a business analytics developer or a related occupational title. Demonstrated experience in MS SQL Server or Oracle SQL. Demonstrated experience in programming, analytic, and information systems with an emphasis on SQL programming. Demonstrated experience in data management and SQL particularly in a healthcare environment, including quality measurement, outcome studies, healthcare finance, and patient safety. Demonstrated proficiency in spreadsheet and database applications, including Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated proficiency in Business Intelligence reporting and visualization tools, including SAP Crystal Reports and SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence. Demonstrated proficiency using SAP Business Objects Universe Designer to create a business representation of the organization's database, which allows end users to access data autonomously. Demonstrated experience in using Epic's reporting tools including Reporting Workbench and Radar. Demonstrated experience in using Epic's Clarity Database to retrieve and analyze data. Demonstrated experience in translating users' reporting requirements into technical specifications.
